SUNDAY FEBRUARY 23 | 13-1600 GMT

As women around the world remember what it means to walk the path of the priestess, lingering questions remain: who were the ancient priestesses?
And why did their temples fall?

Join me for a workshop answering these questions.

For millennia, priests and priestesses worked side-by-side as male and female spiritual leaders. And then – the lineage of the priestess ended, but that of the priests continued, uninterrupted, until today when modern women are once again treading the hallowed steps of the priestess path.

Join Moon Body founder Miriam Ropschitz for a fascinating workshop on the priestess, her history, disappearance and much-needed revival.

This workshop is a must for feminine leaders and those on the Priestess Path.

Know Your History

Somewhere in your lineage there were women who healed with plants, sang under the moon, danced into ecstasy and prayed to the waters. You, woman, are a daughter of ancient, wild ones. Their wisdom lives in your bones. At its heart this workshop is about knowing your history as a woman.

Priestess pray with your body. Pray with your feet on the earth. Lay your body in the ocean. Burn the herbs of your ancestors. Sing to the trees. Find feathers. Touch stones. Listen to the stories carried on the wind. The living world is speaking to you. The living world is speaking through you.

FALL OF THE TEMPLES WORKSHOP

PRIESTESS HISTORY

The story of the priestess weaves itself through many ancient lands. In this workshop you will travel through Mesopotamia hearing the tales of the Entu – the princess priestesses who were joined in heiros gamos (sacred marriage) to the Gods; to Ancient Greece with the Pythia, Oracle of Delphi, who in her time, was among the most influential women in the world; over to the Priestesses of Eleusis, who guided people through ceremonies of rebirth using entheogenic plants; and the Melissae Bee Priestesses. Finally,  we’ll visit the British Isles and Ireland to understand the key role played by female Druidic priestesses on the Celtic Isles.
