Archaeological evidence suggests that God was considered female for the first 200,000 years of human life on earth. The earliest human inhabitants of the earth worshipped a primary feminine deity. Later, the Goddess took a consort: a male God.
And then she disappeared.
Most of us grew up under the spell of Father God as the primary deity, with goddesses (plural not singular) considered lesser-beings from a bygone age. Even to suggest that there could be a feminine counterpart to Father God is considered blasphemous.
In most spiritual traditions, masculine and feminine qualities are used to denote the polarity of opposites as the fundaments of the universe: like Yin and Yang and Shiva and Shakti. Imagine if there was only Yang… if Yin was hidden, considered fringe, or lesser-than as opposed to equal to.
There is some reality in this imagined statement, as modern culture is voracious, fast and excessive ie Yang gone mad. But to remove Father God’s predecessor of 200,000 years and build a world upon that inversion is quite the sickening feat.
It created a breeding ground for female erasure and the demonisation of the feminine principle.
When the Goddess was buried, humanity was robbed of something sorely needed… something our sanity and flourishing depends upon.
Along with the goddess, her earth-body wisdom was also buried; the inherent sacred and spiritual qualities of this flesh-and-blood reality.
For women walking the path of embodiment, womb wisdom and feminine spirituality, I want to tell you the story of when the cross was a spiral so that you can whisper it into the rivers and the skies; so that you can pollinate these forgotten fragments into a world hungry for the feminine.
It's a space for us to gather together and bask in the wisdom of the great She. We are living in a time where more and more of us are remembering and restoring an ancient form of spirituality which has been deliberately buried and hidden in plain sight for centuries. We are hungry for the blood and bones of feminine spirituality. We long to place the body and the land back on the altar. This workshop traces the history of the goddess's un-ceremonial burial, it tracks woman's disembodiment and offers a path forward for those of us reclaiming the wisdom of the feminine spiritual path.

What happened to the Goddess? She was buried beneath religious dogma, and superstition. Now is the time to unearth her.
Restoring the Goddess is a movement of returning to the sacred rhythms of life; to get off the mad wheel of the dominator paradigm to usher in a new way of being – one rooted in love for earth and body.
I've spent the last decade studying and teaching ways for women to come back to the womb as their centre. But what does this have to do with the buried goddess? There was a time in earth's history when people – in this case, the inhabitants of ancient Europe – experienced a severing from their bodies and the land they lived on.
As they became 'civilised' they became evermore disconnected from the primal centres of the lower body. What had once been worshipped as sacred blood was now seen as sinful. What had once been understood as the natural current of life moving through the body was now considered immoral and corrupting.
The further away humans have moved from their bodies and the earth body, the more disconnected and disembodied they've become.
And now things are changing.
As more women return home to their womb as the centre of their being, they are finding that an innate and in-dwelling way of worshipping life flows effortlessly through them.
This workshop offers some of the historical-cultural perspective around this, filling in the gaps many of us have about why these events unfolded in the first place. This workshop contains Miriam's original research and unique perspective which is useful information for women who are guiding other women into embodiment to have in their possession.
Some of our favourite subjects covered in this workshop include:
– Marija Gimbutas ‘The Language of the Goddess’
This is a live, 3-hour experience for women only. It's s a transmission of ancient wisdom designed to activate a remembrance within modern women.
After the workshop you'll receive 6 months of access to the workshop recording which you can watch as many times as you desire.
This is an interactive workshop where your personal stories as women remembering the goddess are woven into the fabric of the workshop.
There will be time dedicated for Miriam to receive and answers your questions on the subjects discussed in the workshop.
If you enjoy deep dives into ancient goddess lore, the mythology of ancient Europe and the hidden history of women, then there will be plenty to interest you here. Additionally, many women who are teachers of embodiment or are themselves running sacred businesses will find it useful to understand the historical framework of women's disembodiment as it explains so much about the epidemic of women's emotional and physical challenges today. Miriam's workshops are highly engaging, often moving and packed full of well-researched wisdom delivered in her uniquely warm and irreverent way. This will be an inspiring and empowering way to spend you Sunday.
WHEN THE CROSS WAS A SPIRAL WORKSHOP
This is a workshop for biological women only. If your politics are such that you feel uncomfortable in spaces which unapologetically centre and celebrate women, then this (and all my spaces) are not for you.
You receive access to the recording for 6 months.
Miriam has spent the last decade working with women in the field of menstrual & sexual embodiment.
Since a young age she's been intrigued by Goddess spirituality and has spent much of her life studying, researching and teaching on this theme.
She believes that restoring the goddess to her rightful place in feminine consciousness has the power to enact a wave of healing for all beings and is a vital aspect in returning to a healthy relationship with the feminine.
This workshop is an offering for the women in Miriam's community, made with love. It comes with prayers interwoven that it may bring healing for those women who know deep in their bones that they are here to be part of the movement to unearth the goddess and restore her to rightful place.
